Who We Are
Berg Vervoer is the pride of the Van den Berg family from Bothaville in the Free State.
Since it was founded with one truck in 2001 by Gerhard van den Berg, owner and general manager, it has grown to a successful family business with a well-kept fleet of 25 trucks and 50 members of staff. Gerhard’s wife, Elmie, manages human resources while his son, Walter, manages the maintenance of the fleet. Mariska van der Merwe, Gerhard’s daughter, is the logistical manager who ensures the smooth operation of the business across the country.
The family highly values attributes such as honesty, enthusiasm, innovation, helpfulness and rendering a friendly service. They strive to build good relations with their customers which in the past resulted in return business and referrals by satisfied customers.
